The last two articles I wrote on my views of Russia for tourists and how I had chosen those locations for my summer vacations. This one talks about my personal experiences of travelling outside Moscow and St. Petersburg for my summer holiday and my view of tourism in Russia overall. As a first time visitor to Russia, I can say that it is a wonderful country with a wide variety of destinations to explore and wonderful people to be met on my journeys around Russia. With that in mind, here is my personal travelog of my Russia "beach holiday" (as I like to call it) for a week or two:
The main aim of this article is to show that there are other places in Russia besides Moscow and St. Petersburg that are equally, or more, famous than these two cities. Places that will really give you a good glimpse into the true Russia. So lets begin: Stolby Nature Reserve, one of the most beautiful and popular tourist attractions in Russia, situated in the southern part of Russia near the Black Sea. It is definitely worth a visit: it has a unique climate that combines with amazing scenery to make St. Petersburg a unique destination for nature lovers.
Another great place to enjoy your time off is Siberia's Tumen River Valley - a great spot to see some awesome beaches and the fabulous Russian Black Sea coast (Tverlanden). Of course, don't forget about the other regions of Russia I have mentioned: Irkutsk, Ural, Siberia and other regions with unique landscapes and fantastic tourist spots. You will have a lot of opportunities to see unique sites and wonderful people during your stay in Russia: there is simply no better time to explore. My advice to you is to start planning now: you won't find it hard to find affordable flights to Russia in the coming months and book yourself a perfect summer holiday! !
